How to become a certified licentiate of the DPOA & have letters after your name

Please answer the questions below. If you can answer YES to all of them then we can issue your certificate & you can put the letters LDPOA after your name.
These seven questions are the basic requirements that ALL Data Protection Officers need to meet as set out by the ICO & as a member of the DPOA you will need to meet these basic requirements if we are to certify you.
1. Are your registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) as a Data Protection Officer?
2. Are you regularly updating your Fire Walls?
3. Are you regularly updating your Antivirus?
4. Are you regularly updating your Security Patches?
5. Are you regularly training your staff in online cyber security?
(As a member of the DPOA you can answer YES if you are using our FREE online tutorials & sending these by email to your staff on a regular basis.
6. Are you regularly keeping an accurate log of your data security actions?
You need this to prove to the ICO that you have been diligent in keeping your data secure.
7. Are you regularly keeping upto date with the latest requirements and guidance for DPO’s as set out by the ICO for Data Protection Officers?
(As a member of the DPOA you can answer YES as you are receiving in our news letters the latest news & guidance from the ICO to Data Protection Officers)
If you have answered Yes to All of these seven questions you now qualify to become a Licentiate of the Data Protection Officers Association.
